It has been almost 900 years since “The Song of Roland”, in which it is described the norms the knights had to follow in the 8th century, was written. This code of conduct is known as The Code of Chivalry. Even though many people argue that the values and rules established in the Code of Chivalry are irrelevant in today’s society, many of these are important still. Some might say it is death but there are rules that many people live day-to-day such as fighting for the welfare of all, to protect the weak and defenseless, and to respect the honor of women.
