The City Life
THE CITY LIFE

Living in a large city certainly has its advantages and disadvantages.
Some of the key advantages of living in the city are the number of jobs available, the commute to those available jobs, the hot spots, popular malls, and the convenience of public transportation. There are a number of entertaining venues in the city such as the state’s baseball and/or football stadium, arenas, theaters, and don’t forget that most entertainers perform at city venues. Living in the city can be an exciting place to live because there is always something of excitement going on. Unfortunately, some may not agree that city living is the safest or healthiest place to live. Pollution, higher crime rates, larger volumes of traffic are some of the major disadvantages of living in the city. Some also argue that the cost of living is higher from the cost of buying a house to a gallon of milk. The public school system has been known to be inferior in the city. Homelessness and panhandlers has been a plague of the city life. There are numerous arguments for and against living in the city; however, at the end of the day, whether a person should live in the city or not depends on their personal preferences, status in life, marital status, and their goals in life. People have lived in the city as well as outside of the city for centuries, so it is not something that is impossible to do regardless of which side of the argument one chooses. The focus, I believe, should be on being happy regardless of a person’s decision. The answer whether to live or not to live in the city depends on

A city's density leads to efficiencies in meeting your needs. Cities serve as a site for the exchange of labor, money, entertainment, culture, and are transit hubs. You can live in a city with less stuff than in the country, and your life can be richer through easy access to other people and culture.…

Life in the city is challenging, but it provides many opportunities unlike country living. There are many activities taking place around the clock. Shopping services are convenient and close, which offer anything a person could want or need. It is also a good place in case an emergency was to occur. Hospital, police stations and firefighters would be easy to get in touch with. The city life provides many advantages of a modern society, but it carries a heavy cost. For example the housing and food in the city are expensive. Another major advantage of city living is public transportation. Transportation is always there, but it gets expensive when you take a taxi to and from work every day. We have all heard of the term “downtown", which is all the entertainment in the city such as clubs, restaurants, and other major social events. In the city there are many more stressed people. All of these things take a huge toll on one's body over a period of years. Another huge problem in the city is the air is polluted. The opportunity to relax in the city is most likely to never happen ,if you lived in the country you can relax whenever you would like.…
