The Changing Role Of Mafia In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar
The game we played in class Mafia can be related to Act 2 because in the game Mafia your on edge because you walking around waiting to see if your going to die. Caesars wife Calpurnia is on edge because she feel like Caesar is going to be murdered. Both of these situations are based on anticipation.The anticipation of waiting on your fate,which you don't really have control over. They are both waiting for something to happen.

In this situation the Mafia is Cassius, The people are the citizens of Rome and The Detectives are Calpurina and the rich people of Rome. On page 29 Calpurina says " Caesar, I've never stood on ceremonies,yet now they fright me. There is one within" She believes if Caeser leaves,the ceremony will become his very own ceremony. Also people die in Mafia because they kind of looking for death, just like Caesar because he's been warned twice but overlooks both times.Calpurina says to Caesar " When beggars die,there are no comets seen; The heavens themselves blaze fourth the death of princes." If a civilian dies,no one really cares because there so many but if Caesar dies, everyone is affected. This relates to Mafia because you simple kill one person and it doesn't mean anything,but if you kill a certain people you get a different reaction from the people. Another big factor of both of Julius Caesar and Mafia is the Killer. In both ways when someone dies,the people become the detectives. In Mafia the detectives are trying to figure out who the Murderer is. In Julius Caesar case the deceives would be the rich people of Rome that's are with Ceasar and his wife Calpurina.
