the birds
The storm has brought things upon us. These things are things I would never wish on someone. The birds have just come through the children’s bedroom. With great rage they have went for there eyes and hand. The only thing I could do was fight. They came in swarms at me as I moved into the bedroom. The only thing I had to protect myself was the towel in my hand, and as I fought them back with my towel they went for my eyes. I am lucky I can still see. With the birds now dead in bunches on the floor I cant stop thinking about why they had done this. Is it the north wind, are they starving and trying to get food. There must be some logical reason for this to have happened but the wife doesn’t think so. She needed to distort things into her own reality. She is most likely just scared. So now we all sit up the kids cry off and on, the candles are lit and the things that just happened will haunt us
Today I went out to get rid of the bird body’s. There must have been 50 of them all dead on the ground. All different types. Putting the birds into the bag was a bloody gross job, but it had to be done. So I put them into the bag and brought it to the yard. The trouble is that the ground had frosted over this morning. So I brought the bag down to the beach. As I reached the cliff I looked up. Sea gulls sat on the seas. Not just the couple of sea gulls you see every day. These birds were packed into the sea. The waves pushed them but the stayed still. They were packed wing to wing beak to beak. You could not see anything on the seas for mile except these birds. There were more birds then I ever could have imagined. All the birds from all over the world must have been on the sea hear today. So I tossed the bag of birds into the sea and ran. The rest of the morning I spent boarding up my windows. Great handy work if you ask me.
