the birds
The storm has brought things upon us. These things are things I would never wish on someone. The birds have just come through the children’s bedroom. With great rage they have went for there eyes and hand. The only thing I could do was fight. They came in swarms at me as I moved into the bedroom. The only thing I had to protect myself was the towel in my hand, and as I fought them back with my towel they went for my eyes. I am lucky I can still see. With the birds now dead in bunches on the floor I cant stop thinking about why they had done this. Is it the north wind, are they starving and trying to get food. There must be some logical reason for this to have happened but the wife doesn’t think so. She needed to distort things into her own reality. She is most likely just scared. So now we all sit up the kids cry off and on, the candles are lit and the things that just happened will haunt us

Today I went out to get rid of the bird body’s. There must have been 50 of them all dead on the ground. All different types. Putting the birds into the bag was a bloody gross job, but it had to be done. So I put them into the bag and brought it to the yard. The trouble is that the ground had frosted over this morning. So I brought the bag down to the beach. As I reached the cliff I looked up. Sea gulls sat on the seas. Not just the couple of sea gulls you see every day. These birds were packed into the sea. The waves pushed them but the stayed still. They were packed wing to wing beak to beak. You could not see anything on the seas for mile except these birds. There were more birds then I ever could have imagined. All the birds from all over the world must have been on the sea hear today. So I tossed the bag of birds into the sea and ran. The rest of the morning I spent boarding up my windows. Great handy work if you ask me.

I went out today to pick the kids up from school. That’s when things went bad. The bus dropped them off at there normal time. As me and the kids

As the crows lay stagnant on the playset, children begin to run away from the school house under the advisement of their teacher, causing the birds to follow in hot pursuit of the children. The movie involved stronger features in its literary elements including plot, characters, and setting. As the film produced substantial differences in both the characters and setting revealed in the short story. A major distinction between the two works is in the characters. In the film, the main characters are Melanie Daniels and Mitch Brenner, who stay together in the town Bodega Bay with a majority of their time spent in Mitch’s mother's home during the attacks on the city. While in the story, the main character is Nat Hocken who focused on protecting his family and home during the Kamikaze attacks from the birds. An additional literary element that generated an impact larger in the film was the setting. The film took place in the small town of Bodega Bay while the story took place in a small town outside of London. In the seminal film and short story, “The Birds”, the film conveyed a deeper and stronger meaning in comparison to the story using setting, characters and plot.…

Since the beginning of time, nature has been a great source of wonder and inspiration for mankind. Writers have composed about a wide range of the spectacular elements of planet earth from the mightiest of oceans to the most idiosyncratic species of insects. Both John James Audubon and Annie Dillard describe their personal experiences of witnessing large flocks of birds in flight in their own respective passages. The two authors have similar experiences but they describe the birds in different ways. Both descriptions are full of colorful language style and diction, however their two different crafts differentiate the way the event is described.…

I started by asking Mr. and Mrs. Smith what they remembered about the night. The mother hesitantly replied saying her son had told her that he heard weird footsteps before he was attacked. She then started to weep from the realization that the footsteps were from the attacker. As her husband tried to comfort his grieving wife, I asked him what was taken from the house. He thought for a moment and then replied, “Nothing, not a God damn thing.”…

About 1,000,000 books are published in a year in the US , do you think two books are alike, they don’t even have to be the same-but just have one similarity? Well i’ll tell you i’ve found two that are alike, and at the same time have there differences. What do you say? How about a book by Roland Smith called “The Ghost Bird” and “Animal Distress Calls” by Eliot Schrefer? I’ll explain to you why I chose these two right now. Birds live in lots of many states over the world, but some species have become extinct and some are on the verge of extinction. In the essay, "The Bothersome Beauty of Pigeons," Bruce Ballenger initially compares the street vendors in one of Florence's piazzas to the urban pigeons we are so familiar with. He elogently describes the vendors as marvelous spectacles who add culture and life to urban areas. While they are considered a neusance to a lot of people, they also hold a certain beauty. They are much like the pigeons, and there seems to be a war against both the illegal street vendors and the city pigeon. It is a war where there are no hearts involved. The police almost turn a blind eye toward the illegal act of vending without a liscense, much like the average person tolerates the pigeon. I think that Ballenger's main idea for his essay is exploring the paradoxical feelings that we can get from things that are bothersome yet beautiful, specifically the pigeon. Ballenger might have originally asked himself, Why, if pigeons are such a neusance, are people still so facinated and enchanted by the creatures?…

Sometimes an author will use certain words to imply that something is going to happen later in the story. We as readers have to infer what that might be. In the short story “The Cranes” the way the author uses “At the shot” it makes us think that the character is shooting at the birds because they flew away, but there is another meaning to this sentence. The true meaning of the last sentence, “At the shot, the two cranes plunged upward, their great wings beating the air and their long slender necks pointed like arrows toward the sun.”, of the short story is the husband committed suicide.…

Chanda, my best friend, took care of me when my family was scattered all over after my parents died; in fact I even got raped, but Chanda took me in. Even though Mrs. Tafa thinks I’m a bad influence to her, she still thinks of me as her best friend and believes in me. I helped her get through her mother’s funeral; it was really hard for me to handle her sadness. She had told me how she’s suffering from tiredness in her life was after her mother passed away, because she had to handle all the chores in her family take care of her siblings and at the same time work as a teacher. Now I’m worried about her, how she’s experiencing traumatic dreams. Chanda’s nightmares happened every couple of weeks, but now it happens almost every night. She told me that in her dream she would see her mother and would converse with her, but her mother had vanished after Chanda had told her that she was going to go search for her siblings who went to play hide-and-seek. A machete had appeared into her hands in the midst of cutting the bushes in search of her siblings, but once she found them a storm had struck. Chanda told me her siblings and herself were thrown onto the ground by the storm and once it was over all the children ran toward Tiro and all of the children said, “They’re coming!” Chanda said she asked who was coming but none of them had replied back, and suddenly her siblings were also screaming that they should head towards Tiro, but then they both had clung to her waist and said, “It’s them! They’re here!” I’m worried about her, because it is frightening Iris and Soly, her siblings. Another reason is I think her dreams is showing how much love she has towards her family and doesn’t want to lose anyone again.…
