The Big Game Case Study
Reflecting on the case studies presented, I believe my biggest take away was from the thoughts Dr. Jungmann provided at the end of the debate of “The Big Game” case study. The class debate was focused on whether the leader should follow policy versus taking into account the personal anecdotes around the student to make an exception. Dr. Jungmann’s thoughts on the student’s responsibility in addressing this issue with the teacher turned the focus of the debate. It seems that a leader is often defined as “the” decision maker. In reality, a strong leader facilitates the decision making process by bringing the right people together at the right time to make the right decision.
