The Beatitudes Research Paper
What are the Beatitudes? Not everyone remeber what are or is the Beatitudes. The beatitudes are Blessings that God gave us on the Sermon on the mount. There a total of eight Beatitudes. In Matthew 5:1-12 he names them “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are they who mourn for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom …show more content…
Like today if you're young or old you can live them out. Today we don't really remember this 8 blessings but these blessing are important to remember. Three beatitudes that i think are important and i will be talking about. Always remember that all the Beatitudes are important just not 1 or 2 everyone is important. Now the question today is how are the beatitudes relevant today? The Beatitudes, we don't think about them that often. All the Beatitudes are import for everyday life. Now the first Beatitude is relevant today by with our family we try to put God in our live every day by praying to him and most of us prayer before meals which is a sign of praising God. The second Beatitude “Blessed are the mourn, they shall be comforted,”we use everyday when help people feel good when crying is an example of the second Beatitude. The relevance of this beatitude is more than any other beatitude because everyday people are helping each other. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” is the third beatitude and we as human should do this whether it is dropping off old clothes to the poor, feeding the homeless, and or giving money to the poor is all examples of the third beatitude.
