The Atelerix Albiventris: The Extinction Of Hedgehogs
Hedgehogs live in dense vegetation and wooodlands. The reason they live in woodlands because they can hide in the big leaves from their predators. The Atelerix albiventris are slowly coming to extinction due to its small size its main prey. Hedgehogs usually eat insects but they eat some plants. They use their spikes (skin type)to protect themselves from their predators. Hedgehogs come in tan, brown and grey. They can only run up to 19 km/h. Hedgehogs live to 3-6 years. When hedgehogs are born, they are born with soft spikes. Then the spikes get hard as time goes on. They are well known for their needs to hibernate during the cold winters. Hedgehogs are not all around the world like people say.
