The American Sniper
American Sniper The title alone sums the movie up perfectly and drawing out all suspicion or notions that this is not just some war movie, instead more of noble story of America's own navy SEAL Chris Kyle and one of the us military's most deadly sniper with a confirmed kill count of 160 souls and over 200 claimed kills . He also holds a marksman title for 2100 yard confirmed kill ,that is essentially shooting a man from over 21 football fields away and much like the life of the great hero we enter a crucial scene in the beginning of the film with a scenario just like that famous shot only slightly closer. We see young Chris Kyle and his father as he shoots his first deer showing the audience that the rifle has been integrated into his life …show more content…
Cooper then only had one more great challange to finish . the texas Twang , with coaching from one of his top instructers cooper was indeed a convincing texan . This movie with such dedicated actors was phenominal and a real testimant to kyles life and the family he leaves behind . Kyle was always to have been said to have had something close to a saviour complex were he dousnt feel anything for the men he killed in fact he wished he could have killed more for kyle what haunted his mind were the men he couldnt save men that died in his unit right in frount of him or even marines that died clearing the houses he was assighned

    Chris was born on April 8, 1974 in Odessa, Texas. His parents were Debby Kyle and Wayne Kyle. After graduating from grade school he went to work on a ranch, with a side job as a professional bronco rider. His bronco riding career ended soon after an arm injury.     Clint Eastwood doesn’t deal in subtlety here; the classic advice of ‘show, don’t tell’ is completely disregarded. A doctor, informing Kyle ‘Wow, your blood pressure is really high’ is laughable in execution and an incredibly clumsy way to get the character’s PTSD across; as is a TV screen overlaid by gunfire, or Kyle’s rage at a broadcasted 9/11 attack (which almost reaches Jon Voight-levels of overblown disgust). This lack of subtlety exemplifies how poorly-written and portrayed Bradley Cooper’s character is: Cooper’s does his best to present Kyle with the script he’s been given, and he does a fine job (without ever being deserving of that Oscar nomination), but Chris Kyle is a despicable human being who felt no remorse for his actions overseas, and Eastwood chooses to neglect this fact; skirting on an ‘American Hero’ interpretation before confirming it just before the ending credits.
