The Act of Kindness is Never Wasted
A heart without kindness is like empty shell. We channel the same kindness towards meaningful purpose. Once kindness has been set to motion, it moves around until it reaches us again. It cannot be diminished by anyone. Kindness is never lost as long as there are people who keep on reviving it. According to what I believe, kindness always lays dormant ready to be activated, but incapable of doing anything. It is like a calm air which cannot be utilized for anything, but when that air turns into wind, we can make use for it in different ways. Moreover, a rational reasoning is that nothing can be created without anything. We cannot derive any benefit from kindness unless we invest something to it. Before expecting anything from others we have to show others kindness. In this way we are responsible for what we get in return. Above all, kindness is influenced by the people. If people use it, it will continue to revolve among everyone. We can persuade people towards kindness by showing them how good kindness is. The only way of doing that is by demonstrating kind actions for them. Similarly, if kindness is strengthened among everyone, it will become strong as a mountain. The attitude of people towards kindness bolsters it. However, it is the same attitude of people which weakens it. It is our duty to spread positive idea of kindness to everyone. To sum up, we can say that, in effect, kindness alone is nothing. It is up to us to create it, make use of it, reinforce it, and finally derive benefits from it. It is advantageous not only to others but for ourselves as well. However, there are factors which may weaken it. Hence, we must try our best to maintain it once it has flourished.

“Kindness” and “hope” are two simple words. One could look them up in a dictionary, define them, write them, and do what they wish with them. However, to know and to act are two different things. Kindness can be define as “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” Kindness is doing your best to make sure that the people around you are happy. It is not being afraid to help others even when there is no way of them paying you back. Kindness is not just doing the right thing, but going above and beyond the call.…

Ascher uses a thoughtful tone when questioning the motives behind compassion. She writes as if she’s thought about this question more than once, she must have been wondering what people’s true motives are for quite some time. The question of whether or not people who perform good deeds really mean it is explored throughout the essay. There is a possibility that showing someone kindness is done only in selfishness. Ascher is not afraid to bluntly ask the question “Was it fear or compassion that motivated the gift?”{Ascher, 47}…

One important effect of virtue is illustrated through kindliness. Jesus was a great example of kindliness. He would hang out with the lowly and sick when nobody else would even if people criticized Him for it. Kindliness is normally the first effect of virtue developed because it has been engrained in our minds since our first years, yet it still can be a struggle to become kind. “Kindliness forbids you to be over-bearing towards your associates, and it forbids you to be grasping” (Seneca 4). Seneca is saying that kindliness is putting someone else’s interest in front of one’s own interest. Even though kindliness is a simple concept, it is often hard for people because selfishness is an epidemic in the world today. “In words and in deeds and in feelings it [Kindliness] shows itself gentle and courteous to all men.” Kindliness isn’t just being kind in actions or words, but also being calm and genuine in one’s thoughts. Even during difficult and enraging situations; kindliness…

As people mention the virtue, generosity, they always conceive of an image of a wealthy philanthropist who donates his money to people in need. However, in my opinion, the concept of generosity exceeds the narrow connotation of giving to others, and not only can rich people become generous; rather, generosity comprises of empathy to share others’ feelings, magnanimous tolerance towards other people, and returning to them with kindness.…

People take your kindness for granted. Some do not consider others feelings before they act upon anything they do. Other people are just disrespectful. We have to learn how to deal with it and never follow in the footsteps of disrespect. Kindness is important, always go that extra mile for someone just as much as you would want them to. You both might need each other one day and you will need that extra support or lift. You are always supposed to treat somebody the way you want to be treated. So remember, if you want respect you have to give respect. It is not an easy thing to come by these days but it is always worth a try to see if people will treat you how you are supposed to be treated, because it is one of the easiest things for people to talk about but the hardest thing for people to…

Kindness is a virtue. Among humans, this trait is remarkably important when it comes to the care and treatment of one another in a set community. As these communities evolve, it has been seen that the kinder, more positive group has thrived and therefore will continue to prosper. Many agree that we all obtain the quality of empathy, but it’s whether we choose to show it or not is what makes the difference. This discussion of kindness is seen in Olivia Judson’s passage, “The Selfless Gene”. Within this short passage, Judson discusses that empathy is deemed to be innate in humans. However, many argue that empathy is more of a choice, and we can choose whether to feel it or not. This ideology is expressed in Daryl Cameron’s, “Empathy Is Actually…

The characters within its pages who conflict because of opposing views on the American economic policies of laissez faire capitalism have made audiences worldwide see the a more in depth view on the nature of man. There are those who do what needs to be done, and there are those who would rather sacrifice themselves in order to attain something greater. Kindness plays its part between the two opposing sides. Its presence or absence determines the upbringing of an individual, which is essential since it determines the mindset that individual will hold, and that will determine if they are able to survive the system. Kindness also affects character as its absence often times leads individuals to have wayward definitions of success; and if an individual adopts the mindset of the greater good, then it can prove to be their greatest…
