Introduction
This report is aimed to give advice to them on decision making and strategy before Zen plastics enter the international market. Note that the market in this report is specially point at Australian market.
The selection of suitable product requirements
2.1 Meet customer needs
Zen plastics are a manufacturer of molded plastic products for both the consumer and trade market. Know the costumers needs is significant for the company and understand the local customers preference. Choose the suitable products with suitable color, size and style. For example, the customers in Australia may prefer simple but fine k
2.2 Meet legal requirements
While entering the Australia market, Zen plastics should know the low of Australia and observe it. Therefore they have to meet the legal requirements of Australia. To secure rights in Australia, Zen must apply for a patent or register a mask work or trademark.
Australia is a signatory to the agreement on trade-related aspects. A copyright protects original works of authorship. Zen should investigate the scope of protection available, as well as the specific legal requirements for copyright protection. The design is " the overall appearance of a product resulting from one or more visual features" and will be registrable if it is “new” and “distinctive”. Zen should have their own unique design for their products and cannot copy others. For the trade marks, it is vital that Zen should know advance whether or not the subject mark of has been used in respect of both goods and services. Zen should register promptly in order to avoid having its mark registered by someone else.
The types of promotion required for success in the Australian market
There are four type of promotion required for success in the Australia market that Zen Plastics would choose to promotion, they are advertising, personal selling, public relations and sales promotion.
