Introduction
Among the Sahaaba is a group of ten Companions who are known by the title Ashrah Mubash-sharah which means the ten Sahaaba about who Rasullullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) gave the glad tidings of Janaat. Rasullullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) informed that these ten Sahaaba have already been promised Janaat, hence we have to believe with certainty that the following ten Companions are Janaati.
The Blessed Ten Companions are:
1-Abu bakr Siddiq
2-U’mar-e-Farooq
3-Uthman binAffa’an
4-Ali Ibn Abi Talib
5-Abdur-Rahman bin A’aowf
6-Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas
7-Sa’id ibn Zayd
8-Abu Ubaydah bin Al-Jirrah
9-Talhah ibn Ubaydullah
10-Zubair bin Al-Awam
Hazrat Abu Bakr
ABU BAKR- He is Sayidna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (The truthful) who was the first amongst the males to testify to the call of the Holy Prophet (Sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam) towards Islam and he responded without hesitation. He was the best of the Companions and was renowned for his sincerity and sacrifices in the cause of Allah Almighty. He was the nearest of any of the Companions to the Holy Prophet (Sallaho Alaihi Wasallam) and was his closest friend. He was born two years before the blessed birth of Our Beloved Prophet (Sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam) also known as the Year of the Elephant. He was the first KHALIF (leader of the Muslims) after the passing away of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (Sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam). During his leadership he fought the apostates (defeating them), established the pillars of Islam and added Syria, Palestine and parts of Iraq to the Islamic lands. He died in 13 A.H at the age of 63 after leading the Muslim for 2 years and 7 months and was buried beside the Messenger of Allah Almighty (Sallalaho Alaihi
