Teenager
In many countries there has been an increase in social problems involving teenagers in recent years. Many people believe that this is due to modern lifestyles because parents spend more and more time at work and have less time to supervise their children. To what extent do you believe this is true?
There is no question that standards of behaviour have fallen among teenagers. The popular belief is that the principle cause is that parents are unable to supervise their children because they are away at work. There are, however, a number of other potential factors and in this essay I will examine what some of the reasons are.
It is undeniable that parents should bear some responsibility for the actions of their teenaged children. This is particularly true when they are absent from the home and not in a position to control their children. The argument is that if they were at home, then they would be able to make certain that their children did not join gangs and spent their time on socially acceptable activities.
However, it can also be said that working parents are in fact setting a good example to their children. Indeed, it is very often the case that teenagers who come from hardworking families spend their time on schoolwork and conduct themselves well. In fact, the teenagers who do create social problems by, for example, getting drunk or painting graffitti come from homes where parents are unemployed.
Other factors that lead to teenagers getting into trouble relate to the educational system.
This is due to the fact that many teenagers leave school aged 16 and do not find work because of lack of qualifications. As a result, they spend time on the street with nothing productive to do. Likewise, social problems with teenagers can be the consequence of poor discipline at school with teachers failing to control their classes.
In conclusion, it

Jobs also help teenagers and the less-educated get off the streets and introduces them a step of independence. Economist found that in 2012 immigration reduces the employment of U.S. citizens under the age twenty-nine. The increase of jobless teenagers and the less-educated should not be overtaken by immigration of other workers. This Literature Review was undertaken at the request of First Steps Housing Project Inc., Saint John, New Brunswick. It offers a comprehensive overview of the published literature on the topics of teen pregnancy, poverty, homelessness, effects of teen parenting and of poverty on child development, effects of childhood abuse and the societal and financial costs of “doing nothing”. Primary sources of literature were used throughout: primarily journal articles accessed on-line through the Harriet Irving Library (UNBF) and articles by experts in their field sourced on the internet. Every attempt has been made to properly reference the literature. However, the reader is advised that in many instances the writing of the original author/s best expressed the issue and therefore, the paragraphs were incorporated only with minor editing for readability. References are found at the end of the discussion for each topic area. Because each topic area stands alone, there is some repetition of the findings between topic areas.…

Every teenager loves the feeling of freedom and being able to do whatever they want. Now when it comes to responsibility not everyone can do it. So how much freedom and responsibility is right enough for teenagers to have in making their own decisions? Teenagers are suppose to have just the adequate freedom and responsibilities according to their age. Giving them too much will overwhelmed them or giving them little can cause for them to run over you. Not too much and not to little. The first thing to do is not to give teenagers too much freedom. Most of the time the consequences are that they will become rebel. That's when they will start running over you. That's when you decide to give them certain freedom depending on their age. Like when they are 16 let them go to the movies or out but until 10pm or 11pm. One their 17 or 18 let them be out more until midnight or 1a.m. Let them know they are responsible of their own actions of what they do or if they don't follow their curfew.Teens need to learn a lot on being responsible. They can start by paying for their own bills if they are working. For example if they want a cell phone then they can, but as long as they pay for it. For teens that are not working then they can help out with chores. Parents need to teach them responsibility in certain ways so once their older they won't be irresponsible in life. The more responsibilities a teen has the more it will help in his/her future and gain more freedom.Basically teenagers can have just the normal appropriate freedom for their age. When it comes to responsibility then they are allowed to have allot of it. That way they can know better. Plus the more responsible the more parents will be adding to their list of…
