Ways to make Tetley successful tea in Pakistan? Why Tetley is still fail in Pakistan? Causes and consequences?
Tetley is a leading brand of Tea in UK since 1837.it has distinctive tea flavors all over the world. Even in UK people prefer Tetley tea more as compared to other brands. But why it badly failed in Pakistan. There are many reasons of it. Initially any product comes to customers mind by its name and packaging.
Name and Packaging Problems:
Tetley from its name does not come clearly in customers perception as still in Pakistan people pronounced Tetley as Tetley or Tatli. In two ads of Tetley it’s not cleared in the ad that what the exact name of product. Furthermore the packaging color is quite odd for a tea. Tea is usually has the golden, skin, reddish color but there is no way to represent a tea with purple color. That shows what mistakes Tetley done in their packaging. But here the question must be arises that Dairy Milk Chocolates have also purple packaging than why there is an issue with the packaging of Tetley. Chocolate is an item which has come in many colors as color can be added in chocolates. From US and Middle East chocolate even come in white black and orange candy colors so yes there is no issue with the color of packaging of Cadbury. But how can you make a tea of purple color. Tea can only be recognized by yellow, golden, green, reddish colors as strong, lemon tea and green tea has all these colors.
Unclear Ads:

After packaging and Name the second most important thing that makes an image and increase the demand of customer is the advertisement of the product to clarify what is the target market of the product. Where Tetley again failed.it use a line of slogan pehley ankhon sey pee, saanson sey pee, phir honton sey pee to janat mili.No body understand what completely the ad says. In Pakistan Tea Players has completely tapped the market through the strong notions such as Tapal use Family concept where it shows family members love and

First, water scarcity happens as they need a lot of water supply to produce Coca-Cola. The production of Coca-Cola has also worsened the water conditions in India. Besides, Coca-Cola can cause health problems due to its high level of sugar and caloric content. As the people now are more concerned about health, they may worry about consuming Coca-Cola and stop or consume less Coca-Cola. Besides, the higher price of Coca-Cola, compared to its competitors, especially Pepsi, is one of the drawbacks. This is because both Coca-Cola and Pepsi can give similar satisfaction to the customers, so when the price of Coca Cola is higher, customers tend to switch to other competitors’ drinks which are cheaper. Besides, a slogan represents the reputation of a company or a product. The pitfall we found is that the slogan of Coca-Cola is inconsistent; customers can hardly remember them because there are too many slogans and they are confused by those slogans. The following pitfall is the marketing failure of “New Coke”. After three months of introducing it, the original formula finally returned to the market as many arguments were raised and have affected the reputation of Coca-Cola.…

The Tea Industry in India has experienced enormous change during the last 25 years or so, all though the production of made tea has increased from the 1990’s levels however, quality has declined to a large extent. This phenomenon has reduced the price realization and also resulted in closer of many reputed tea manufacturing companies. As manufacturing units have closed down the cultivation and business of green leaves has increased and factories with the sole purpose of manufacturing has amplified. These are called “bought leaf factories” and do not own or operate tea plantations. The scenario that has resulted is not progressive for Indian tea industry because a) Quality has been compromised; b) Specific amendments have not been made in the “Plantation Labour Acts” due to which there is usually a drift between the management policies and productivity of the workers and standard of living. On the other hand, majority of the companies have not been able to run their setups in a developmental manner because of lack of support from the Government of India. Tea has been a major source of foreign revenue earner for the Government of India but the due importance has not yet been given by the Government for the upliftment of the industry. Various policies have been formed and a large amount of money has been pumped in without any accountability. On the contrast the tea plantations sector in Africa and to some extent Sri Lanka along with South of India have surged ahead with bigger incomes and diversifications. The primary problem of the industry currently is that professionalism is lacking…
