Introduction: One’s culture is a key part of their identity. Culture can reside in a nation, family, ethnicity, a religion, etc. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A Nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people”. One’s culture is usually seen through the religion and traditions of their nation; therefore this influences their everyday lives and their behavior.. Culture influences one’s appearance or the way they talk, but also a person’s ideas, judgements, and treatments of others.
MI: The lifestyle in which person is brought up by will reflect on the standards he/she has for specific classes.
EVID: In “A Knight’s Tale” by Brian Helgeland, it was in the culture that only noble people were allowed to compete in the contests.
EVID: “Pygmalion” by Bernard Shaw, it was in the culture for high class people to take showers.
CONCL: People who are looked up to as a higher class, generally are raised by a more noble culture.
MI: Language is taught and enforced with rules to improve the communication between each other.
EVID: In “Pygmalion,” upper class people were supposed to only talk about the weather and their health at parties. EVID: In “A Knight’s Tale,” William Thatcher talked to his love with more discipline and manners.
