Easy Ways To Reduce Fresh Water Usage On Your Boat
Having to carry any freshwater we need, makes boaters more conscious of fresh water usage. Below are some easy changes to stretch your water supply a little longer between fill ups.
1. Installing low flow faucet aerators and water saving showerheads can make you tank of fresh water last twice as long since low flow means 2.5 gallons per minute, where a traditional flow rate is 5.5 or more. These easy, cheap additions can be the single best means of limiting fresh water usage!
2. Raw water toilets can get a bit swampy smelling so some people don’t like them but they are great for saving fresh water. Dropping an ounce or two of vinegar in the bowl after the flush
