Supporting Teaching And Learning Essay
Considering the fact that there are all different kinds of children with different needs, it is important to know how to manage and teach them the behavioral discipline needed in order for them to grow up and develop as best they can. What I’ve learned from reading these articles is that it is highly important to show children of different characteristics/needs, the means of positive discipline. Also, doing this appropriately and in the correct manners is key in helping children “reclaim” their classroom, as one article states. I found it interesting to also learn and read about all the different ways to enforce and apply effective guidance techniques when working with children.
SInce all children have different temperaments ranging from easy/flexible, cautious, and sometimes difficult/active, I’ve learned how to address them and in a positive manner as well. In order to achieve a healthy relationship with children we must use clear, simple language,active listening, and set limits for them to develop self-control. All the different suggestions and strategies on how to positively guide preschool children including being clear about roles, using a relaxed voice, writing interactive morning messages, using frequent check-ins, offering specific activities in learning centers, and …show more content…
There are some children that are very shy and don’t use their words much until they feel quite comfortable. There are also some cases where a child is overjoyed to have someone giving suggestions and directions. Whatever the case may be, all the children have different reactions to adapting to new things and situations which makes it that much more important to use positive guidance in my opinion. Also, being able to relate what I’ve read to actual experiences has motivated me to try my best and apply what I learn with the
