Supervisor Case Study
When, discussing Organizational Policy, and Procedures with Supervisor, there is a certain amount of respect and professionalism in your demeanor and in your vocabulary.
The same professionalism is used when your Supervisor, asked you do something, or in this case, prevents you from doing something, as in your ‘Annual leave’. For example, you’ve been planning to go on vacation for well over a year, everything is set to go, with reservation made.
But, then you receive the news from your Supervisor, declining your leave, or anyone else’s leave, due to the possibility of ‘Hurricane Irma’ hitting the State of Florida, which includes your Service Area.
Of course you’re disappointed, you’ve been planning to go this vacation for well over a year!

Being appointed the job of a supervisor, it is important for me to know all the reasonability and duties I must fulfill properly. There are multiple reasons why it is critical for me to understand my role because I would not want to cross my limit out of authority. As being a supervisor, I would avoid taking unnecessary disciplinary actions toward an employee. Having authority over employees does not mean I can always write a warning or decide to reduce someone paychecks based on my personal beliefs or mood toward them. By taking such actions I would be disobeying the purpose of being a supervisor. Another limit I would avoid crossing is to create a misunderstanding of communication between the workers.
