Summary Of The Story The Dragon By Moonshadow
This story takes place in San Francisco, where the Tang people worked for the Demons. Americans were referred to as Demons and Chinese people were referred to as Tang people. Only men could go workin San Francisco, while mothers stayed in the MIddle Kingdom taking care of their families. Men sent money to their families, and only got to see them about every five years.
Moonshadow meets his father and the rest of the company. He meets some of his family members and his father's friends. He learns a little bit about the Demons but, is still frightened to be there. Windrider shows Moonshadow around their company building and shows him all the gadgets.
Windrider tells Moonshadow a story about him. He describes it and talks about how he could fly and how he got his wings. He says that some dragons can be good like the dragon king, unlike the Demons dragons. Nobody believed Windrider when he told that story, except for Moonshadow. …show more content…
Moonshadow learns how to read write and speak in both English and Chinese. They start sending letters to their family in the Middle Kingdom and they send letters back.
Black Dog is almost killed but, is saved by Windrider. He is sick and doesn’t feel well from all the opium. Black Dog beats up Moonshadow to show him how pain feels. Windrider finds out and wants to beat up Black Dog because of it. Windrider ends up killing somebody else. Because of that Moonshadow and Windrider have to leave the
