Summary Of Lord Of The Flies Simon's Journey
This is the moment when Simon arrived back to the boys from the woods. During Simon’s day journey in the woods he discovered a dead man on the hill; the dead man is assumed to be the beast. The dead man causes Simon to return to the boys and try to warn them about his discovery. Since Simon did not look like himself Jake and his group assumed Simon was the beast and killed him. Simon becomes a living sacrifice to the boys. Since, Simon became a living sacrifice it made him to be similar to Jesus Christ. Simon and Jesus are similar because they both were sacrificed when they were innocent. They tried to help others, however, people misunderstand their help.
