Summary Of Danny Santiago's The Somebody
In the story, “The Somebody” by Danny Santiago, the main character, Chato de Shamrock develops throughout the story. Chato de Shamrock starts off in this story as someone ambitious. He doesn’t want to become something big, so he quits school to become a writer. By writer he means to write his name around L.A. to be known. In the beginning of the story he is shown as someone who just wants his name to be of some value after his gang left. At the end of the story, however, Chato decides that he doesn’t need to do something big with his life to make his name known in the world.
