Art is beauty. Some people might not feel the emotion that the art is representing, however, some people might see the beauty that the art is expressing. Art is something important because it matters to our lives. The use of lines, shades, shapes and colors help us express our inner self and the hidden messages that we want others to know behinds the wall of arts. The sadness and emotion that Byrd express through his creation of art was beautifully done. The lines, shades and colors of these two paintings have communicated to me in a way where I can feel the sorrow, loneliness, suffer and struggle that the veterans had been through in the isolation of institution's hallway. When I looked at The Cave, all I could see was that living in the hospital is like living in the prison. It is like being trapped in your own minds because there is no way for you to get out of this place, and nowhere to escape from the sorrows that are trying to eat you alive. Thus, you lose the energy you have, and dark clouds forming upon your head like you lost against the world and given up your existent as a person. The veteran must feel this way too, being trapped in their own minds, lost and confused. This is why art matter. Because it can express the emotion that human being can not show or reveal to other. Art can communicate and reveal an astonishingly emotional and beautiful hidden message that no one can imagine of seeing or feeling. As a result, art is another form of communication because it can connect the emotion and idea of how the artist wanted the audience to feel when viewing their

It opens our eyes to see and our brain to imagine." (Magdalena Abakanowicz) To imagine, one must be able to picture things. To picture things one must know what the basis of the image looks like. To know this there must be a work of art like a painting, drawing, or a sculpture. If art was not there, there would be no imaginations, no writers, and no history for our nation. The pictures in the history books are what are the most touching and most memorable, like photographs from the Great Depression, any of the wars, and what the countryside used to look like. Art, Himillsy would not think this was art because it is ‘normal', is what makes us remember, it is what makes our…

Art works can represent a visual language that can be read. The work may be THEMATIC as the artist explores a particular topic or direction. Through the use of media, signs, symbols, and text, the artist can make an intensely personal statement that is reflective of the "self within" but still open to the interpretation of the viewer.…

In many cases, the purpose of art is to convey a profound message about certain aspects of a society or establishment. Art is fairly successful in conveying a message since it comes in a plethora of forms that are often overlooked. All over the internet and social media, art continues to be spread through people who would not have much voice or impact if not for technology. It is nearly impossible to ignore the messages people are spreading when they are dedicated to expanding their idea essentially everywhere. When people evaluate art, they find that it resembles the lives that they and others live while exposing the problems associated with the world that they may have not been aware of. It is natural for people to want to better the world…

Art is considered to vary across culture and also through time. Art considered as a masterpiece by this group of people might not even be appreciated by another group of people. Art changes through time and the value of a certain artistic piece might increase or decrease through time. Art is what defines a culture, thus it is regarded by many as the main (not sure we could say this, I think you wanted to say something else)aspect in a culture’s construction. Art function as an emotional gratification for an individual. It also contributes to social integration and it serves as a social control tool. It also preserves or challenges the status quo.…

Art is an escape and we use it to express ourselves. It’s used to tell our story; to express the things we see and feel that we cannot say or have already said but people have not been listening. Expressing ourselves through art to send a message is our “second approach” and it proved successful; just look at John Banovich. Art affects each person differently, which is what…

    The Human Experience

The art work that stands out most to me is one that portrays a young boy as a soldier in the US Army. The human experience from this could be expressed as one of many, love, loss, pain, hope, despair, values, beliefs and as we hope not but even death. I think the artist had love, loss and pain in mind with the painting. This is meaningful to my life because I feel that this is a portrait of myself as a young boy. I joined the US Army at seventeen, finished my basic training, school house training and was shipped off to Iraq with my unit before I was even close to being eighteen. I believed in what I was doing, I lost a lot of family and some really great friends in that war. I too had a picture taken with my uniform and full battle rattle, as we called the bullet proof vest, on. In that picture I was all smiles but honestly I was extremely scared and felt almost alone. This picture shows a young man with the same uniform on smiling. It really takes me back in time and allows me to see what war did to the once innocent young smiling boy that I was. I still to this day believe in all I have done, know that somewhere in there I have done them for the right and values of America but still it bothers me now. It also makes me fear for the young boy in the picture, fear for the outcome that will happen.…

From realism, to abstraction and from sculptures to literature, it is all art. Some say that we have our various forms of art because our brains are large and need stimulation. Our curiosity and our constant communication need a release, and in many cases this release takes its form through the different mediums of art. Art allows us to demonstrate whatever it is we please, and to express what our heart desires. Unfortunately, we don’t have every artist’s interpretation of their work, our job is to look for what message the creator and patron of the work was sending and why.…

The world around us is all shaped by beauty. By the music we make and listen in a car, or at a concert or in our rooms or anywhere, the architecture of our buildings that make up cities, homes, and what is now considered “art,” everything we encounter basically in our everyday lives shapes the world we live in. Art also had the ability to redeem life by finding beauty in the worst, and darkest of times. That means that art can even help us accept death by showing it in a light and not as a dark and scary and a process that all life has to go through. Art helps us try and see that clearer and not from just one perspective. Art gives our human life meaning and can help make it worthwhile. Through the changing world and perspective of beautiful art, we are losing the value of beauty and because of it we might lose the meaning of life with it. Our new technology and fast going pace of life, and changing views that over time we will lose the true meaning of…
