Summary Of A Modest Proposal
In his essay “A Modest Proposal” Dr. Jonathan Swift explained his proposal to help better the lives of poor families by not having the burden of children. He has the title of Dr, however, it is unclear what he has his doctorates in. This essay is targeted to all members of society in Dublin, Ireland in 1729. His plan covers the benefits to the poor, by not having the burdens of children, and also benefiting off of selling them. He also appeals to the wealthier class by introducing new delicacies, while also getting rid of annoying beggars on the street. Although he has thought in extreme depth about the benefits, as well as math that goes along with this proposal, the ethical component of his logos is not quite there. He is heavily appealing
