Summary: Module 2 Analysis
The opportunity for improvement described in my module 2 analysis is further examining the schools weaknesses and specifically addressing them with concrete data and charts. The SIP does not specifically address areas of weakness; rather it speaks vaguely of test scores. There needs to be more concrete numbers and data addressed with the SIP’s weaknesses. The current practice in regard to the improvement practice is the perception data that the school is using from the students, parents, staff, and stake holders. While it is very beneficial to gain qualitative and quantitative data from these sources, the SIP fails to depict the data in a meaningful way in order to correct areas of weaknesses. It only states a few statements given by each subgroup. …show more content…
I chose this strategy because it stresses the importance of using research to guide our instructional decision making. Furthermore, this strategy talks about data being an ongoing cycle that we can use to serve our students better. The study also states that we need to foster a data-driven culture within the school system. As aspiring administrators, we must use a data driven approach to incorporate a new successful culture.
The third best practice strategy for improving our opportunity area is an investigation in number, data, and space described by What Works Clearinghouse (2013). This particular study will assist in the improvement in the area of mathematics that the SIP set as a goal. This program is an activity based mathematics curriculum designed to assist students with geometry, data, and measurements for algebra. The program encourages students to develop their own ways of solving problems. Discussion is large component to this curriculum which I think could help improve proficiency in the area of

    The main thrust of Article 2 is in the beginning of Section 1 - that the “executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America” (p725). Section 2 describes duties: commander in chief, the power to make treaties, appointments, and granting commissions (p725-6).
