Do You Believe, That You Can Fly?

“It’s impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all. In which case, you’ve failed by default.” – J.K. Rowling.

Too many pilots have lost the confidence to fly. A one time crash, or a flight instructor’s demeaning attitude has left them with the belief that taking off again is just not for them. Goals and dreams have been abandoned, either forever, or put on long term hold, because of the realisation that it would take a flight to reach them. Deep down there is a nagging fear of failure. This leaves too many potentially great pilots working as ground crew, having lost or maybe never found a belief that they could fly.

It’s time for the “What If Game.” – Review Questions.

The “What If Game” is a great opportunity to explore any ideas, plans and directions. This is without fear or the idea that you have to follow any of the answers provided by your ever eager imagination. Let that imagination flow and consider a few scenarios, a bit like brainstorming. Then choose any answers or plans that you especially like. After all with “What If,” they are only possibilities and you can still decide if you’d like to further pursue any of your discovered answers. One of Life’s important skills is learning how to ask great questions!

You can make up your own What If” questions too. It’s simple—just think of any appropriate questions that fit the ideas and possibilities you’d like to explore, add a “What If” and then take a while, if possible in a quiet place, to think and listen for answers and directions.
