Summary: Authentic Leadership
Good evening,
I am a Development Assistant intern at the American Red Cross. I conduct basic research of potential donors, donor data entry, clerical data entry, and provide general office assistance. In five years I plan on pursuing my dream career as an Attraction's Executive of my own amusement park and waterpark. I always was a fan of amusement parks and waterparks but what pushed me in this direction was my first roller coaster experience on a roller coaster name The Alpengeist at Williamburg, VA Busch Gardens amusement park.
Jack Welch's leadership principles reminds me of my favorite leadership style Authentic leadership. "The following core attributes of authentic leaders:

Fake behavior was just a day at the office. And people with initiative gumption and guts were labeled troublesome or worse. (p. 31). There's a possibility that someone could have worked in a position for a while and expects to move up from their position because they believe they have a better purpose in another area in the business. Or if someone in the business feels as if there should be some sort of a change or approach to a situation that may improve the business success. In reference to Seth Godin, I would like to take the tribe approach in my company. "Tribes are about faith -- about belief in an idea and in a community. And they are grounded in respect and admiration for the leader of the tribe and for the other members as well." (p. 9). Eventhough this will be my company, it's not about me. Clear communication and understanding must go both ways. I must hear them out becuase if I don't, depending on the circumstances, the whole business will go down. Everyone in the business has a lead role. No one person has all the answers and that is why its important to have a team of people that are concerned about the business, themselves, and their team.
My hobbies are going shopping, traveling, and finding cool music to add to my playlist. I love watching reruns of television shows and old movies. Some of my favorite shows to watch are Living Single, The Facts of Life, Moesha, Girlfriends, and Hey Arnold. I also like to watch video game-plays on YouTube and every once in a while I'll play video
