Summary And Analysis Of Becca Fitzpatrick's 'Black Ice'
Black Ice was written by Becca Fitzpatrick in 2014. Since the main character has to learn how to take care of herself, I can only assume that the intended theme of the story was that it’s better to be independent than dependent.
Two senior girls on a hiking trip up the mountains find themselves stuck in the middle of a snow storm. When they leave their car the seek shelter, they discover a cabin. Shortly after, they become hostages and are stuck with two guys. Brit, the main character of the story, decides to save her friend by abandoning her at the cabin with the guys, because Britt pretends to be an expert of the forest.
