SUDDEN INFANT SYDROME
Abstract
Sudden infant syndrome has been on research for a long time, where by it ca be back traced to the year 1969 though no clear causes of the syndrome have not been identified. Its unpredictability has been there for long despite years of research. This research will educate the reader mostly parents, on understanding sudden infant syndrome, risk factors and ways of prevention. Through major campaigns reduction of sudden infant syndrome has been noted and this research is going to focus on some of practices which can reduce its occurrence.

The x chromosome is stronger than the y chromosome, therefore more boys die due to sudden infant syndrome. Girls are more adoptive and stronger than boys therefore they have a stronger genes to survive or to be affected by some of risk factors. Other risk factors include poor parental care, overheating from beddings' or sleeping wear.
Several ways have been advocated to reduce risk of sudden infant syndrome, though this tips do not offer 100% prevention of sudden infant syndrome, it is advisable to exercise them to reduce the risk. Here are some of those tips;
Always place your baby on their back and don't cover their head to allow enough circulation of air. Let the infants sleep in their own cots other than sharing bed with their parents but in the same room as their parents to avoid situations where they get ruffed up and suffocate. Use beddings that are in a good condition, free of dust, mattresses that are firm and flat. Rooms where infants sleep should have a good circulation of clean
