Discuss the subjects in which you excel or have excelled. To what factors do you attribute your success? I done well in all of my classes this past 3 years in high school. I believe that in all of them I learned to my fullest. In a way or the other I have excelled in each of my classes. I try my best in all my classes to pass them with a B or a higher grade but not less then a B, I don't like having grades below an 80 percent. I’m even passing the class I hate since I was in middle school and that is history class. I can't stand that class. The class I feel I have excelled the most and is my favorite class out of all of them is mathematics. I been liking math class since I was little. I like solving problems. I don't get bored of solving problems. When I know how to solve the problems, I first finish my work and then I go help others that need help with the problems. I don't do the work for them I just explain to them what to do.
My success in that class is not only because I like math but because of the wonderful teachers I had.
They were dedicated and influential teachers. They were patient with everyone and tried to explain the problems in different ways for students that didn't get the other way to solve the problems. I attribute my liking of numbers and my success in math class to my personality and motivation to succeed in life. If I didn't had the passion to be succeed in life then I wouldn't care about my classes or school. I would like to be something important in life and be able to help others. I would like to have a happy family.

Originally, I did not enjoy math when I was in Vietnam because the teachers focused too much on strict memorization, while giving little attention to applications. However, when I started school in America in my sixth grade year, my passion for math developed. Initially, it was the only subject in which I excelled, due to my disadvantage of not speaking English, but eventually finding an answer to a math problem would become an adventure for me. I never gave up on finding an answer even if it meant working from sun to sun. Throughout my high school years, I have always maintained an A plus in all of my math, science, and Latin courses. Also, I was the student who scored highest in my school, a 98, on the Algebra II End of Course exam. I presently taking College Algebra and…

When younger, usually math was the first homework I would work on. I guess the reason I do that is because I love math and because I think I am a pretty decent math student. I usually I know what to do. I especially like doing Algebra because it is filled with proportions and multiplication. Those are my favorite areas in math. I guess I started loving math when I was in elementary school. I was great, and some students in my class were really good too, so there was always a little competition. We would always get multiplication sheets and I was always finishing them quickly, along with some of the other proficient math students. In a way, those kind of competitions were fantastic for me. I was motivated to do well on them. The students also pushed me to be great even if they didn't realize it.…

Therefore, I decide that I had to work twice or three times as much as other kids in my grade just to earn a decent grade. My failures taught me that sometimes we have to give up friend, family, and my spare times to work on homework and study extra for all of my class.I came home everyday to look at my notes and study with my sister for hours until I was sure I knew what I was doing. I learned that having a disability doesn’t make me any less smarter than other people. Soon after, I learned how to speak, write and read English. because of all of the effort I put into learning soon after, I was mastering all of my class. Getting Student of the Month three times in a row, most outstanding student, as well as most improved student. I liked earning all of this awards because it told me that my hard work did pay off. When I finally went into High School I decided it was time to drop out of Study Skills because I knew I was ready to do school all on my own.…

Math is a very important subject to learn. I believe that math is a subject in which you learn about properties and relationships of things using numbers and sometimes symbols. You learn about things from shapes and measurements to patterns and relationships. Math is usually a difficult subject with lots of rules that you take during most or your entire educational career. Math can be boring sometimes, but it can be fun as well sometimes like when we work in groups or do hands on experiments. In IMP we usually work in groups. At our tables we check over our homework answers with one another to see if it is correct. After this we discuss the answers…
