Study Overseas
Studying overseas is an amazing experience. But for others the experiences had been different some ways or even regretted. Studying overseas is an important part of making decisions where they’ll be living and how to study in another country. Nowadays, students are eager to study overseas because they feel studying in a different country is better than studying local of our country. They have their own reason to study locally or abroad. Studying local or abroad has its own advantages and disadvantages.
In my opinion, I disagree of idea to study overseas. As for me, there are many local universities in Malaysia that have good quality and a variety of choices. Studying in local universities can save cost compared to study overseas; students not only have to pay the study but also for living. Besides that, the exposed to culture shock and barrier of communications may lead students to negatives. In addition, the distance from home to where they study in oversea will be missing by family and friends as well.
But there also have benefits of studying overseas. Living in a different country is likely to broaden the mind. Experiencing the cultures, interacting with different people and also encourage independence. Studying overseas also can build the confidence to survive in a different country. Moreover, learning a foreign language also can communicate to local people.
Another benefit, applying for a job may be easier if studying overseas. For example, students have to use the language of the country which they are studying in; it means if they can speak more than one language and applying a job, it is confirm that any companies will haunting for those who have abilities.
In conclusions, studying overseas has its own good side and bad side. If we decided to study abroad, we have to take a risk like money consumptions, different culture and people, and also the environment. But the good side is we can gain our knowledge and having an experience that we cannot forget

One of the merits of studying overseas would be being exposed to different cultures. When a student is exposed to different cultures at this developmental stage, he or she will learn to adapt to the new environment and experience culture shock at an earlier age. This in turn helps the student better develop his or her adaptability to different surroundings and how to better deal with sudden changes in whatever task he or she may be undertaking at that point in time. When said student grows up, he or she will be more prepared to enter the working world and cope with various demands like overseas attachment programs or going overseas to negotiate deals in our constantly changing world, which is growing more independent. An example of someone who has studied overseas is the 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton. According to a thesis done by Thomas I. Wortman, who holds of a degree in Doctor of Philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University, Clinton cites the importance of international study and educational exchange as “being critical components to meet challenges in an increasingly independent world”. Despite not being a Singaporean student, what Clinton cited is relevant to students of all nationalities studying away from their home country. Therefore, the experience of studying overseas is an excellent one as it aids us in one of the processes we undergo as we grow up.…
