study abroad
Good morning. Thank you for giving me this chance to introduce myself to you.
As I know that, the objectives of this study abroad scheme is to provide an opportunity for students to enhance their English proficiency and enrich their personal experience in a different environment, I think it is a really great opportunity for students just like me to improve the English skills during the period of study abroad.
To begin with, I want to talk about my past experience to study abroad. When I was a form 2 student in secondary school, I had been to New Zealand for a summer exchange program, at that time I recognized that the academic atmosphere in New Zealand is totally different to Hong Kong. As Hong Kong students schedule is very rush, they have a lot of workload such as assignments, projects, examination etc.… But in New Zealand students they have much more time and freedom to their studies so they really enjoy study at school.
When I was young I have yearn for study in Canada, as University of British Columbia is one of the tops school in Canada and the campus is surrounded by forest on three sides and ocean on the fourth, it is really stunning. Apart from improve my English proficiency, I really want to take this chance to explore myself, broaden my horizon by studying in UBC.

Although my result of HKDES not very good, as at time I cant find a way to study more efficient and do not interested in studies, when I study in CCCU, I do find a way to study more efficiency and improve my studies so I got a pretty good GPA in the last semester.

As this study abroad scheme is to provide an opportunity to students to improve their English level, others students may have a good foundation in their English skills so they may not have a really big improvement in their English proficiency, as my English may not as well as them so I believe that after I go study abroad in Canada I can have a really big changes and improvement in my English levels as I will try my

The numbers of students studying abroad have been increased largely in the twenty years. Undoubtedly, students can widen their horizons, get more life experiences and become more independent through studying abroad. However, every coin has two sides and studying abroad is not an exception. Studying abroad has a lot of fun, but certainly not easy. As a student, I personally think that the most challenge thing is the academic study. The challenge of academic language study consists in following classes, reading textbooks in timely period (Lin, Yi), understanding professors ' words, taking lecture notes, and giving oral presentations (Ziyan, Hong), asking professors questions and interacting in seminar discussions and so on. I, personally, think the reading and oral speech are very hard to international students especially to Chinese students in Saint Louis University because all my Chinese friends are struggling in reading English texts and communicating clearly in class.…
