The symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder were first described in a children's book, "The Story of Fidgety Philip," written in 1845 by Dr. Heinrich Hoffman. The story described Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder behavior to be caused by faulty parenting. In 1902, a series of lectures published by Sir George F. Still described problematic impulsive behaviors among a group of children. Research has found that ADHD medications can have major side effects for individuals when administered. ADHD medication can cause growth stunt on individuals when its administered for long term. Most people consider children who get in to trouble to be unruly or trouble makers, many studied know support the facts that most children suffer from Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. The Center for Diseases Control website states that Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder symptoms usually start to appear between the ages of 3 and 6 and can continue throughout adolescence and adulthood.
