To start establishing the store culture for this new luxury handbag and accessory company I will first have a storewide meeting iterating to everyone what our goals, mission, and visions for the company are. Taking from those I would like the entire staff to work together to come up with our idea of what our store culture should be. I believe when others are able to give their input on something they are more willing to follow those words rather than me just giving them a packet to read up on what we believe in and how we want them to act. While having such experienced staff is great, they all have different selling methods that need to be better worked into one cohesive style. This will allow our store to be recognized by consumers as a memorable brand. To achieve this one cohesive selling style I would start by sitting down with each staff member and asking them what their selling style is and what has worked best for them in the past. After hearing from everyone I would put together all the pros of each selling style and meld them into one structure that everyone can follow. After deciding on our selling procedure I would implement a three day training program where each sales associate would get an in-depth coaching of how we would like them to sell. After the training, for one month, they will report to me weekly on how the selling style is working and what progress they are making. After the month, they will be on their own to sell, but will have a review every three months to see where they stand on the selling floor and to talk about any changes that need to be made.

Anytime you want to build up the clientele of your store a loyalty program is great to have. Stores such as Starbucks, Best Buy and Sephora all have loyalty programs.     Each floor is assigned a floor manager who reports to the store manager. The staff consists mostly women and the men do more of the inventory and moving of stock.     The number one philosophy of building a great business is to fill a void. Nick Swinmurn founder did just that in 1999 when he started Zappos.com Inc (Zappos.com). Mr. Swinmurn wanted to start an online store that catered to selling a great selection of shoe after going to a mall and he could not find the shoes he was looking for (Eng 2012; Zappos.com). The website was dedicated to the selling of wide variety of brands, colors, sizes, and widths; if you are looking for a shoe chances are Zappos.com has them. There was finally a website customers could go and shop for the best shoes and have no trouble returning the shoes if it did not fit. The website started by Nick Swinmurn going into stores and actually taking pictures of shoes then selling them on the website (Eng, D. 2012). This was done by the company actually buying the inventory then selling it on the website. To make Zappos the online shoe giant, Swinmurn teamed up with investor Tony Hsieh who was later named CEO and helped grow the company (Eng, 2012; Kopelman at.el, 2012; Zappos.com). The company started making profits slowly after making a commitment to customer services; gaining loyal customers. In Early 2009 the company was sold to Amazon, closing a $1.2 billion deal (Kopelman at. El, 2012). Not only did Swinmurn and Hsieh build a company but they also build a whole new culture. The first aspect a loyalty program aide operator and owners is the ability to track customer's behaviors, wants, needs and issues. For example if they notice most business travelers use the gym facilities but traveling families do not then they can place the smaller rooms to accommodate solo travelers near the gym.     The term “customer loyalty” is indisputably one of the most widely studied subjects by researchers in the world, intensively evolving over the years. According to past reviews, loyalty has been defined as a repeat purchase that is a result of a preference, attitude or market share. However, according to Uncles, Dowling and Hammond’s (2003) review of literature, there is no universally agreed definition (Jacoby and Chestnut, 1978; Dick and Basu, 1994; Oliver, 1999). Therefore, to truly understand customer loyalty, it is necessary to recognize that there are different types and measures which are discussed in this report. Before a relationship with a customer can develop, loyalty must be present (Mcllroy and Barnett, 2000). Before loyalty can be formed, several factors known as the antecedents of loyalty must be initiated (Dick and Basu, 1994). The understanding of the formation of loyalty and the linkage to its antecedents is critical in improving customer relationships (Benett, Kennedy, and Coote, 2000). Consequently, service quality, satisfaction, trust and commitment will be highlighted as constituents. Furthermore, in the age of intense competition and increased customer expectation, building long-term loyalty with customers is seen as an effective means of growth and profitability (Uncles et. al, 2003). Numerous benefits are associated with achieving customer loyalty and as a result, the main focus for businesses today is to retain loyal customers (Mcllroy and Barnett, 2000; Uncles et al., 2003; Rowley, 2005). Therefore, it is noted that the best way to achieve repeat business is through customer loyalty programs. The primary motive behind a loyalty program is rewarding customers for their repeat purchase behaviour (Mcllroy and Barnett, 2000, Uncles et. al, 2003).
