Stomach Research Paper
You normally hear people identify stomach growling with being hungry, but that's not always the case. Stomach growling can happen at any time but can be heard better when there is nothing in the stomach and small intestine. When there is food in the stomach and small intestine it absorbs the sounds caused by the rumbling. Most of the time the noise is caused by extra gas or air bubbles in the intestines but can also be caused by low blood sugar telling you to eat. The muscle contractions in the small intestine, causing the grumbling, can be used to clean up and make your body ready for more food.
