Steve Monologue
"Give me your lunch money," Nicole said.
“No,” Emily said.
“What did you just say?”
“I said no.”
“You’re going to be sorry.”
Nicole and Emily got into a fight and Emily won.
While Emily was dealing with bullying at school, Steve and Shelly started to hang out. They got along so well, that Steve quickly developed feelings for her. Steve eventually asked Shelly out and she said yes. Since Steve and Shelly started to date, he enjoyed his job. To make things better, Steve and Shelly got a new supervisor, who was very friendly.
In general, Steve was happy with his life. But of course, it wasn’t perfect. Ever since Frank moved in, Larry became a control freak, and he belittled and intimidated Steve and Emily almost every day.

“You can’t cook, you can’t clean, and you can’t do laundry. You can’t do the simplest things and you’ll never be able to. You’ll never get anywhere in life, no matter how hard you try! And you’re going act your fucking age and get a haircut! I won’t let you leave the house until you do! It’s no wonder why you can’t get a job.”
“I already have a job,” Steve said.
“Watch your mouth!” Larry screamed. “And stop your fucking screaming!”
“You’re the one who’s screaming.”
“This is my house. I can do whatever I want! Now, give me the keys to your car!”
“I paid for that car!”
“Well, I’m paying for the insurance! Give me the fucking keys!”
Steve handed Larry the keys.
“If grandpa was here, he’d ask you what’s your major malfunction,” Steve said.
“Well, he’s not here,” Larry said. "You always were an instigator. That’s why you got into all of those fights in school.”
Some of Steve's classmates used to pick on him. When Steve was in middle school, several bullies would verbally abuse him and he would ignore them. This would anger the bullies, so they would beat Steve up.
Larry struck nerve with Steve, because this was a sensitive topic. This resulted in Steve punching his father in the face, giving him a bloody nose.
