Steroid Usage In Sports
In recent discussions of steroid usage in sports, a controversial issue has been whether athletes should or should not use steroids in order to gain a competitive advantage. On the one hand, some argue that steroid usage is beneficial because it improves an athlete’s ability to perform in their particular sport while using. On the other hand, however, others argue that while steroid use can be utilized to spike an athlete’s performance, the consequences pose too much of a threat for the athlete to use them. My own view is that the side effects of steroids are too big a threat for an athlete in the long run.
