CDA Home work , class 10,open ended art, music and movement, dramatic play
In my class i will encourage openended art by giving them the oportunitie to explore the class room that i will fill with all kids of centers that prompte open ended learning . Next year i hope to encourage my dirrector to let me come up with a schedual that will let my kids have more free art/play time . I love being able to give the kids art supplie and they come up with what ever they want. they best part is they are all so different and i love that .

every morning we have a time that i call streatch and grow . at this time i get the kids up and moving we streatch ,wiggle, dance and just be silly. i also play music while they are playing and i will see kids dancing . i also put on story telling cds and we act out the parts with puppets .

With all of todays technology many kids miss out on all the fun we had as children, with dress-up and make believe. preschoolers need to move around, use their imagination and make their own fun.
Play is a valuable learning tool for children. Dramatic play is pretend play. Pretending expands a child's life experiences by letting them be who ever they want to be .

when planning my art, music, dramatic time i will take in to consideration if it will expand their imaginantion . i will aslo look past if it will make a big mess and just let them be kids .

Dramatic play helps children understand the world around them. It not only teaches children about the roles they choose to play, but also provides the development opportunities in a variety of areas. American children drama scholar Catherine further emphasize creative dramatic play is through drama to develop children's critical thinking and creative expression, which focus on children in the play when facing all kinds of contradictions and conflicts, problems of strain capacity. Children try various solutions in the dramatic play, which can encourage their thinking in the "acting" people, people and society, and nature of the various relations, so as to enrich the children's various kinds of experience. Catherine thinks that the education of creative drama purpose is not the creation of the drama, but rather through drama to develop children's critical thinking and creative expression, foster children’s language and communication skills. It is important to remember that because dramatic play is all about allowing children to use their imagination to complete role play and depicting the life experiences, therefore the possibilities are literally endless. In my class room I have to make sure that crayons, papers, construction materials, paints, markers, pencils, glitters and some more materials are ready and available for children in our daily activities. I have musical instruments like, xylophones, drums, guitars and CD to play and to sing along with and I have a place where they can arrange their own band. Children loves to play dress up, some pretend to be a Mom and Dad and some pretend to be a fire man so I also have a dramatic area set in my class room so they can explore in their own play spaces.
