Stephen King the King of Horror and Mystery
“Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” This was said then none other than Stephen King. King is a bestselling author who has written many books that could make you stay awake at night. King has the ability to use the fear and curiosity in such a way that it is poetry. This is a tribute in the form of a biography to the great Stephen King, man who isn't afraid of anything.
Stephen Edwin King was born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine. He grew up in a divided family with divorced parents. Stephen and his brother spent time between both parents but ended up living with his mother. King went to the college of Maine at Orono. He wrote for the school newspaper, where he got his first taste of writing. King was able to be publish his first short story in “Startling Mystery Stories.” He graduated college with an English degree, he wanted to become a teacher but with no luck he took a job at local business. This was his first novel to be adapted to the big screen but others soon followed suit. He continued to write about monsters, and evil clowns, but he took the alias Richard Bachman to publish several more books. King’s concern that the public wouldn’t accept more than one book from an author within a year (Biography). King wrote many more books in his own name including “The Shining” which became a cult classic film, and is recognized as being one of the best horror movies made. King writes at fast pace speeds writing and producing numerous novels a year.
