Steph Curry Research Paper
He is in the National Basketball Association. He carried his team to the Finals two years in a row. He has over 6,000 points in his career. He is a two time Most Valuable Player. He is the one and only Steph Curry. Now, Steph Curry being the best point guard in the league, Steph cares for his family very much and follows the Lord God every step of the way (Fleming).
Steph Curry’s career in basketball all started with this hand-me-down, old rickety hoop. Growing up, Steph studied the gameplay of Steve Nash. The repetition of taking 900 shots lead him to be 44% from behind the ark. Announcers, coaches, and the President of the United States all believe he is one of the best players and the best shooter in the NBA (Fleming). He holds the record for most three pointers made in a season. Steph is a 6’3” 185 pound guard who went to Davidson all four years of college. Curry lead his team to the Elite 8 in 2008. Steph’s dad played 16 years in the NBA, and he had a brother who played for Duke University. Steph’s grandfather, Jack, was the start of a legacy for Dell Curry and Steph. His father Dell Curry and grandfather Jack helped him learn how to be thankful and appreciative for everything that Steph’s been gifted. He feels when you follow God your achievable goals are endless. When Steph was 13 years of age he accepted Christ and the Lord God himself. Stephen believes, knowing he has a spot waiting for him in heaven is the greatest gift of all. He is very confident in himself knowing God is right by his side (Moore). Steph Curry’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Chandler). In a recent fundraiser Steph Curry was able to donate 816 mosquito nets to help fight malaria. Stephen said the reason he did this was because his Lord gave him the orders. Stephen hopes once he passes he did everything in his will to please God.
