Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The ever growing world of science and technology has enticed me from a younger age itself. This allure towards technology especially the art and science of measurement, control, design, construction and maintenance of instruments and the fact that the whole instrumentation system is the soul of any industry (small or large) is that which drove me into taking Electronics and Instrumentation as my undergraduate degree course. I strongly believe that the backup of a managerial degree along with my technical degree can help me achieve my ultimate career objective of being a technocrat manager.
My under graduate studies exposed me to a few management related subjects such as Principle of Management, Total Quality Management and Engineering Ethics. Nowadays, IT services are the foundation of all emerging businesses, and effective management of meager budget provided to the IT sector has become a quintessential component in the development of a good business. My inquisitiveness towards management subjects and awareness of the current business world has led me to take up MS in management of IT services.
Being born to a hard working and extremely talented mother who took voluntary retirement from the Indian Army, I have learned certain managerial qualities which aided in the development of my personality. The support given by my mother helped me overcome many hardships that I had to face during my under graduate course including the passing away of my father. My mother being a single working parent is my first management guru. She taught me that it is the smallest things in life that make the greatest difference in the long run. Her punctuality and time management in daily life routines have helped me shape my character. Her guidance has brought me to the doorsteps of your university and will guide me throughout my life.
My variance in personal interest involved me in many extra–curricular activities. I was passionate about basketball and cricket

I wasn’t terribly sure what I wanted to do with my life, nor did I have any idea how to get where I thought I wanted to be. My relative lack of passion wasn’t seen as a deterrent in my affluent Texas town, though, as it was a place where nearly all high school students went on to college—it was the only option we really considered or that was presented to us by our families, teachers, and counselors as a post-graduation plan. So I began the requisite search by looking first at nontraditional college environments, for while I had done reasonably well at my large and impersonal public high school, nor had I flourished either. It seemed to me that if I was going to spend the next four years of my life in school, I might as well try a different tactic than the one that had allowed me to coast rather unremarkably through high school.…

My pursuit of physical therapy as a profession comes from my interest in healing the human body. As a student of management, apart from theoretical studies we need to get a deeper insight into the practical aspects of those theories by working as a part of organization during our summer training. So this training has high importance as to know, how both the aspects are applied together. The study of management acquires most crucial position in the business administration. In order to be successful, it is necessary to give priority to the management in an organization.
