Starbucks Pada kesempatan kali ini, saya akan membahas pengalaman saya sebagai konsumen dari sebuah kedai kopi yang terkenal yaitu Starbucks. Saya akan membahas mengenai apa itu Starbucks, hal-hal yang membuat saya ingin mengkonsumsi produk dari Starbucks dan juga alasan-alasan yang bisa menyebabkan saya tidak mengkonsumsi Starbucks. Berikut penjelasannya
1. Sejarah Starbucks
Starbucks merupakan nama dari sebuah kedai kopi yang bertaraf internasonal. Pertama kali didirikan di Seattle, Washington oleh 3 orang yaitu Jerry Baldwin, Zev siegel, dan Gordon Bowker pada tahun 1971. Pada awalnya starbucks hanya menjual biji kopi dan peralatan yang berhubungan dengan pembuatan kopi namun pada tahun 1982, seorang pebisnis bernama Howard Schultz bergabung dalam perusahaan Starbucks dan menyarankan agar starbucks tidak hanya menjual biji kopi dan peralatannya saja tapi juga menyajikan minuman kopi tersebut. Ide tersebut ditolak pemilik asli Starbucks dikarenakan anggapan bahwa kopi merupakan minuman rumahan sehingga akhirnya Howard Schultz membuat sendiri kedai kopi bernama Ir Giornale.
Pada tahun 1987 pendiri asli dari starbucks memutuskan untuk menjual Starbucks ke Il Giornale milik Howard Schultz, kemudian Howard Schultz mengganti nama Ir Giornale menjadi Starbucks dan membuka cabang di tempat lain.
Meskipun Starbucks memposisikan dirinya sebagai kedai kopi, mereka juga menyediakan the serta makanan-makanan yang cocok untuk dimakan sembari minum kopi, hal tersebut membuat Starbucks sangat digemari oleh konsumennya. Di negara asalnya Starbucks sangat digemari karena mayoritas masyarakat di Amerika meminum kopi di pagi hari ataupun di siang hari saat waktu istirahat kantor.
Starbucks pertama kali membuka cabang internasional di Tokyo pada tahun 1996, dan sejak saat itu terus membuka cabang dan melakukan joint venture sehingga sekarang outlet yang dimiliki baik secara langsung ataupun dari hasil joint venture dan outlet berlisensi berjumlah 12.440 di seluruh dunia.
