St Joseph Of Cupertino Research Papers
When you were a child, did you ever pray to God to help you with a test? Did you ever think that there was a saint who performed miracles for test-takers? Well, if you didn’t, look no further than Saint Joseph of Cupertino. Who, you may ask, is Saint Joseph of Cupertino? Well, in this piece of writing, I will tell you.
Okay, first I’ll start with his childhood. Saint Joseph of Cupertino was born in 1603 in Cupertino, Italy. His parents were Felice Desa and Francesa Panara. His father was a carpenter, but died before his child’s birth. Francesa, unable to stay in her house (and pay taxes and debt), was forced to give birth to the saint in a stable. About 7 years after his birth, he had a vision. “His mother treated him harshly.” (catholic.org)

Saint José Ramón Agustín Pro Juárez, also known as Saint Miguel Pro, was born on January 13, 1891, in Guadalupe, Mexico. He was one of eleven children, the oldest boy. Sadly, four of his siblings died as babies or young children. From an early age, he was heartily spiritual, as well as mischievous; he constantly entertained his family with his humor and practical jokes. St. Miguel was a dauntless child and sometimes took his pranks and fun too far, putting him in several near-death mishaps. The third oldest in his family, St. Miguel was unquestionably very close with his older sister. After she entered a convent at age 20, he started to recognize his own calling to the priesthood. Though his father wanted him to continue with the family business, Miguel lived for God and entered the Jesuit novitiate in El Llano, Michoacán in 1911. He had been studying with the Jesuit priests for only a year when a religious revolution broke out in Mexico and by 1914, the Jesuits were forced to flee the country.…

In Dalriada, he tended his master’s flocks in the valley of the Braid and on the slopes of Slemish. When he was working the fields, he acquired a perfect knowledge of the Celtic tongue. His master was a druidical high priest, in which gave Patrick an opportunity to become familiar with all the details of Druidism from whose bondage he was destined to liberate the Irish race. Warned by an angel after six years, he fled from his cruel master and bent his steps toward the west. He…

Most of St. Jude’s patients are children. Four gunshots reverberated throughout the crowded streets of Saint Peter’s Square, May 13, 1981. A shocked man looked down at his blood-stained once white robe. He was rushed to the Hospital while his would-be assassin, Mehmet Ali Agca was detained until arrested. Within four days of being shot, Karol Wojtyla, more commonly known as Saint Pope John Paul the Great forgave the man from his hospital bed and later went and visited Agca and personally forgave the man that shot him. Millions of people were shocked by the Holy Father’s choice to visit the man that wished him dead, but in doing so, the Pope wordlessly showed his followers what it means to love and forgive others. At the time Pope John Paul II was the spiritual leader of almost 60 million Roman Catholics. He had already acquired a reputation as being a charismatic leader. People came from all over the world to be inspired by his message--that of sacrificial…
