Spirit Bear Lessons
Did you know the spirit bear is also known as a Kermode bear? I didn't, as a matter of fact, I didn't even know there was a white bear beside polar bears until I read touching spirit bear? In the book Cole learned four life lessons. Throughout this paper, I will talk about three life lessons that I have learned. In addition, I will explain why they are important to me. My first life lesson is “ Everything happens for a reason”. The symbol is a fire burning, bright, scolding to the touch, and full of colors with small strips of blue showing the hotspots. I learned this life lesson from my sister when she fell into a burning fire pit in 2015. It was horrific at the time and it still is, but I realized when she laid by me so tired and sleepy from playing all day not taking a second thought about anything she does. That she is who she is because of that. If that major event would have never happened to her, she wouldn't be who she is, she wouldn't take chances, and she would live in fear, taking second thoughts about everything. Beside my first lesson there is a second, “You don't realize what you have till it's gone”. I learned this when we started this project. I was sitting in SI thinking to myself what are some life lessons I have learned, i thought of this one, i thought “but what have I gone through that I missed out on”, my …show more content…
I have spent so much of my time and my life trying to be like everyone else and i know am not the only one because we are all guilty of it. I used a crown to symbolize this life lesson because there is only one queen of england and no one can be just like her. Like i am my own self, for example if we all wore crowns to school everyday in elementary they would all be different, but if we did that now and saw two crowns alike we would think we all need to have that crown but we don't, we need to stop and start wearing our own crown again and own

A flashback explains to us how Cole got to Alaska in the first place. What is a lesson? A lesson means an experience, especially an unpleasant one that somebody can learn from, so it does not happen again in the future. And everyone probably had a lesson of some sort before. For me, I have had many lessons throughout my life already, from small things, like you should always bring an umbrella with you to school, never run with your wallet in your pocket, to something big like studying hard before a test. And these mistakes probably changed my life in ways.…

One of the life lessons I learned is to always be thankful for the people around me and not take them for granted. Unfortunately, many people, including myself, tend to not appreciate what we have until we lose them entirely. Then later, there might come moments in our lives when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them out from your dream and hug them for real. Only then, it'll be too late to go back. I did not experience these until my grandmother passed away.…

Another life lesson I have learned is to not be afraid to make mistakes. Whenever we try anything new, we might make some mistakes. We can’t possibly know everything that’s going to happen when we try something new. Sometimes we just have to try something before we can learn about it. Mistakes are a part of life. As Einstein said, the only people who don’t make mistakes are those who don’t try anything new. If there’s something you have a burning desire to do, don’t let the fear of making mistakes hold you back. We are not perfect. We are a mere blip on the timeline of existence. Life existed long before we came here and it will continue long after we’re gone. You were only…
