Role of Friends in Our Life

Good Afternoon to the honorable judges, teachers and my fellow friends .I am standing here to deliver a speech about Role of Friends in Our Life. Firstly, let me ask all of you, WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP? well ,friendship consists of true friends that can make you laugh when skies are the darkest , true friends that will even hurt you only if its for your own good , friends that will protect you under any circumstances and friends that will make you feel like you’re on the top of the world when you’re feeling crushed to the ground.
My fellow audiences,
Friendship is one of the most beautiful and fragile relationships in the world. Our friends are our pillars of strength and give us the much needed support and comfort that we all seek in life. Spending time with true friends is one of the greatest joys in the world. So why are friends so important in our lives? Why is the value of a true friend equated sometimes even with a parent or a soul mate? And what is that invisible bond that holds friends together for years and sometimes even a lifetime? And most importantly, what are the lessons in life that friendship teaches us?
Trust
The word "Trust” is very important in any relationship, and it is true for friendship also. In fact, the very foundation of friendship between two people is based on mutual trust and understanding .And it begins at an early stage of life itself, when you tell your friend secrets about your teenage crushes and confide in them about your heartbreaks. The trust grows as the friendship matures ,in fact sometimes we trust our friend more than our parents and siblings .We also trust the judgment of our friend blindly ,having the confidence that they wont lead us wrong.
Sharing
Another key basis of friendship is mutual sharing between friends .In fact friendship usually gives us the first lesson in "sharing" in our lives, when we share our toys and favorite possessions with a friend as a toddler. From our lunch

Friendship is like love. It cannot be measured or categorized, nor can it be explained or defined. Friendship is an enigma I do not think anyone will ever solve. It cannot ever be accurately put into words. Why do we form these bonds with other people who are not our family, and who we will never have any biological need for? This is a question I can only attempt to answer. A commonly used phrase is, “friends are the family you get to choose.” While that may be true, friends tend to be much closer than family. True friends are hard to find and even harder to hold on to. In my short eighteen years on this earth, I have been lucky enough to make a few. Those incredible friends I have made through the years know me better than I know myself. No matter I do, they are always on my side, and they push me to be more accepting of myself and others. One of my greatest flaws is my propensity towards negative self-criticism, but my friends never let me dwell to long on the negatives of life. Instead, they lift me up when I am feeling down, boost my self-confidence, and bring me mounds of happiness.…
