Special Education Philosophy
As a special education teacher, I will strive to engage, challenge, and inspire growth within my students not only in the classroom, but to also teach them lessons that will help them in the real world. I believe that every student deserves an equal chance to learn no matter his or her race, disability, or learning level. Growing up in a family of relatives who thrive in teaching, there have been many lessons both taught and learned in the process.
As a special educator, it is important to remember that there are no two students that are the same, and each student has their own individual needs. There must be distinct directions and rules to fit the needs of every student. To engage with my students in the classroom, I will help create stories

In the classroom setting, I will be sure that there are visuals and movement to help the students’ knowledge and understanding on the information that is being learned. Through these teachings, I will be sure that the information that needs to be learned will stick with them through further years in their educational careers. Teaching children is a reward; watching a child learn is an undertaking and satisfying feeling, but helping them succeed and watching students accomplish a goal they’ve been striving for makes that feeling ten times …show more content…
Working as a special education teacher will permit me to build strong bonds with my students and learn their strengths, weaknesses, and abilities to help them succeed in a way it is needed for them—helping me create a modified and thorough learning program that will improve their educational experience. There is a tremendous amount of responsibility to help students achieve the learning goals set for themselves and through that, my students will have knowledge and understanding to be successful with the goals they set. Teaching children in our society today is such a privilege. I will strive to be the best educator I can be and I will challenge and inspire growth in my students and to help them see the gifts that a greater education will
