The article begins with a person asking the staff of The Straight Dope Science Advisory Board a question concerning the possibility of creating a fiction-type force field. The staff member asks the person to clarify the question by asking if it is a force field that protects a ship, a tractor beam or something to keep prisons in holding. She then explains the different kinds of forces considered by physicists and how some theories have combined the different forces. Briefly giving explanations, she looks at the possibility of a force field using the each of the different forces. She covers the four main forces: strong, weak, gravity and electromagnetism.…

However, the developers assert that each unit successively builds on prior units within and across each grade level (http://investigations.terc.edu/library/curric-gl/scope_sequence_gk-5_2ed.pdf). In actuality, as students move through the units, the curriculum introduces new ideas or extends existing ones. This of course, is why they recommend that grade level units are to be taught in specific order, and to ensure that student knowledge is increased (http://investigations.terc.edu/library/curric-gl/scope_sequence_gk-5_2ed.pdf ). While also reviewing the scope and sequence of each unit, mathematical content emphasized in the lesson was highlighted. Goals, objectives, and expected outcomes for the current, previous and subsequent grades were also stated; but reference to prior knowledge or skill was lacking. In spite of this observation, there is explicit evidence of content spiraling occurring within the curriculum and across grade levels. This could subtly imply that some concrete knowledge is in fact needed before continuing to later units. Therefore, I think it would be a more appropriate decision for the developers to explicitly state the math content that is spiraled in each unit as prerequisites for the remainder units.…

Duties are general requirements to be performed. Duty begins with everything required of you by law, regulation, and orders but it includes much more than that. A duty is a legal or moral obligation. Commissioned officers command, establish policy, and manage Army resources. NCOs conduct the Army’s daily business. Junior enlisted soldiers have a duty to obey the lawful orders of superiors. Specified duties are those related to jobs and positions. Directed duties are not specified as part of a job position or MOS or other directive. Implied duties often support specified duties, but in some cases they may not be related to the MOS job position.…

February 2013, asteroid 2012 DA14 is plummeting towards Earth. My science class at Crestwood Junior High was chatting about this amazing phenomenon. Most of the class is just counting down the minutes until the bell rings. But I had just started my journey through the unknown, that is still going on today. Wanting to learn all I can about spacecrafts, planets, asteroids, and the many other things around us. From some of the first spacecrafts, all the way to cool technologies that never came to be. Just like the Dyna-Soar spaceplane that was canceled just before building started. This space age style journey has been going on for more than three years. Over just three short space filled years, I have accumulated two telescopes,…

    Nasa Research Paper

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, more commonly known as N.A.S.A, was started after the Soviet Union sent a satellite named Sputnik into space the year before. They are a government agency in the United States of America that has taken on the task of researching science and technology related to space and air [1]. NASA has gone from one amazing accomplishment to another year after year since the space race. NASA’s goal is “to reach for new heights and reveal the unknown so that what we do and learn will benefit all humankind”[1]. For over 50 years NASA has been trying to answer the questions all of mankind has about the vast wonders of space. In the beginning of NASA applications for space technology were being developed by use of weather and communication satellites. After the first steps on the moon by Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969 NASA concentrated on developing a reusable ship for access to and from space using the vessel known as the space shuttle [1]. The first launch of the space shuttle was in 1981 and it flew over 130 flights before being retired in 2011. A multinational project in 2000 representing the 16 nations work was started, the Russia and the U.S. established constant human presence aboard the International Space Station [1]. NASA research peaked again in 1997 when the mission to mars began. The Mars Pathfinder was a spacecraft sent to explore Mars within the next ten years so scientist can determine if life ever existed there. As the new century turns about, NASA reaches across the universe. The Rover is still currently exploring Mars after its arrival with his brother Spirt in 2004. While Cassini orbits around Saturn, Juno will trek his way to Jupiter. The Hubble Space Telescope examines and discovers the innermost workings of the universe. NASA is in the business…
