Space Exploration Is the Singly Most Important Thing that a Man Has Ever Done in his Long History

Honourable members of the examination board, the speech submitted to your consideration is devoted to the problem of space exploration on the basis of the pamphlet From Stonehenge to Tranquility Base by Ray Bradbury. In my speech I’m to dwell upon the following points: firstly I comment on the leitmotif of the essay that space travel is the single most important thing that man has ever done in his long history, after that I pass on to the present-day national space programs, then I focus on the affects of the space research in our everyday life, and at last I draw a conclusion. Obviously, in his pamphlet “From Stonehenge to Tranquility Base” Ray Bradbury appeals to the world community to carry on with space exploration. According to the essay space travel is the single most significant thing that man has ever done in his long history. Indeed, the space exploration not only creates a clear picture of the space and the universe we inhabit but also gives information about the origin of the planets, solar system, galaxies and their characteristics. Thus, it gives the mankind enjoyment and entertainment. To add, I can’t but mention that Ray Bradbury is fully concerned that the space exploration is the only important means for people to exist in future, the only possible salvation. Passing on to the present-day space programs it should be stated that they tend to find the decisions for a future life on the Earth, make research on other planets, search for new fossils that can be used on the Earth and investigate Mars, as the main target of possible colonization. With reference to the space programs, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration should be mentioned. It is the agency of the United States government that is responsible for the nation's civilian space programs and research. Clearly, NASA's investigations include

Many people say that going to space is too costly, and doesn’t help people on earth, or we have better things to do, like purging our national debt, or at least that’s what I’ve heard. But in fact, that’s entirely wrong except for the expensive part, but space exploration has brought so many useful items and gadgets that may be taken for granted from L.E.Ds to artificial limbs (NASA Spinoff).…

Space exploration is a vitally important task that helps countries around the globe discover new things about the universe they are a part of and expand the knowledge of students in subjects such as science or Astronomy alike. There are several factors that are to be considered when contemplating the importance of space exploration. One of the debatable questions that comes to mind is how much money can be collected for the cause? Another is addressing the dangers that the astronaut occupation implies, because who doesn’t remember learning about such devastating events like the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger in 1986? The final factor we must include when determining the importance of space exploration is the exposure of space exploration in the education system and why it is helpful to learn about historical space endeavors of our country, both its successes and disasters.…

In 1961, the world was changed forever, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin entered the spacecraft Vostok 1 and traveled into space. Following him in the same year, was the American astronaut Alan Shepard in Freedom 7. Then in 1969 the crew of the Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon. This space race in the 1960s helped to light the fire of man’s interest in outer space and has lead mankind to wonder if we could live away from the comfort and safety of planet Earth. Many scientist and explorers have wondered if it would be possible to colonize the Moon or Mars for the purpose of research, resources, and hopefully a secondary home for the human race. However, many people have also doubted the idea of leaving the safety of planet Earth to explore other options of habitable places. Many argue that space exploration is dangerous and some critics argue that it is using too much money that could…

I read about the Apollo missions and the obsession with space exploration. Space exploration has been a human fascination since the early 1960s, probably even before then actually. The first person to be put into space was in was Yuir Gagarin at the age of 27, by the Russian Soviet Union. However, it wasn't until 1969 that NASA successfully landed the first man (men) on the moon, with the Apollo 11space mission. Interestingly enough, NASA hasn't attempted go revisit the moon since. Many speculate humans never made it to the moon, and that all of the "evidence" was entirely fabricated.Regardless, ever since then, humans have been fascinated with the idea of trying to reach other planets and possibly inhabit them. Many attempts to find life on…

Source A provides insight on why space exploration is worth the cost. “We don’t seem to get along well with each other here on Earth, but we do quite well in space. These countries and agencies know that manned space exploration...shows us the way for how we can all live together in peace” (Livingston). This source is built on the idea that space unites the nations of the world together by uniting them with a common goal. However, Source G presents an opposite view that refutes this idea. Collins states that he believes space exploration would only be beneficial for political leaders if they could see the Earth and “realize that the planet we share unites us in a way far more basic and far more important than differences…” (Collins). However, he says that due to the fact that they cannot do this, the only way space exploration could be beneficial is if “...all countries must begin thinking of solutions to their problems which benefit the entire globe, not simply their own national interests” (Collins). As a result, the only way exploring space could bring welfare to the nations is if they recognize ways to aid everyone…

There are a number of arguments in favour of sending people to the space. Firstly, discover the space which is very important to understand the space movement and predict any problems in the future, which would give people more time to find solution. For example, three weeks ago in the South America the space scientists predicted the hurricane before long time ,so the governments of Mexico and the USA control it, and the number of people who died or injured were a few. Secondly, exploration of space allowing people to know more about the weather, plants, moon, sun and our solar system, last week a planet of our solar system was discovered in the USA by a space scientist. Thirdly, there is no doubt that sending people with their technology improved our communication; it is easier now to exchange the information than before. For example, international call, the internet and satellites. Finally, many things which often help to improve our lives were developed by space scientists. For example, drugs, human researches, and materials "TEFLON".…
