Sop in Mech
ech The ensuring statement of purpose is meant to put forth my aspiration to pursue my career through Masters in Mechanical Engineering at your esteemed university, as well as description of my plans subsequent to my graduation. In this ever changing world of Engineering and Technology, I want to attain the highest level of education and transcend new scope for research in Mechanical Engineering. This has always fascinated me and I am keen to continue my academic pursuit in this field. I was fascinated with machines from my childhood. While at School, my interest in machines turned into a desire to become a Mechanical Engineer.Being an avid student in school days, i actively participated in science workshops.I excelled academically at school. I was a topper; I was on the merit roll throughout high school.I finished my schooling with 83% in 10th class and with 82.9% in 12th class. Admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering is through a screening test taken by more than 100,000 students. This test requires a strong academic background ar pre-university level, with good analytical and quantitative skills. My performance in this screening test provided me with the privilege of choice and I cose Mechanical Engineering as my undergraduate major at VIF COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY , affiliated to JNTU university which is considered the best technical education institution in the state. It was an exciting and stimulating time at the University. I focused on developing a firm knowledge of the basics of Mechanical Engineering. During my undergraduate years, I was taught the rudiments of mechanical engineering through thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, compressible flow, heat transfer, statics and dynamics, mechanics of machines, and many more. Amongst all these topics, thermal engines in relation to combustion caught my interest. I developed a keen interest towards Thermal and Fluid Sciences. I also did my summer internship at Bharat heavy electricals

Mechanical Engineering is the application of the principles of science and mathematics to a design of machinery and equipment used in transportation, manufacturing and energy conversion. The following annotated bibliography contains three sources related to the Mechanical Engineering major. The three sources will include a scholarly journal, a book, and a lab report, with different topics, but all relating to my academic discourse community. The scholarly journal is about a mechanical hand and it covers the basics on how it works without getting too overwhelming. The second source will be a textbook for a general chemistry class, where students are able to learn how to be literate with science. And for third and final source will be a lab report…

Thermodynamics is the science which has evolved from the original investigations in the 19th century into the nature of “heat.” At the time, the leading theory of heat was that it was a type of fluid, which could flow from a hot body to a colder one when they were brought into contact. We now know that what was then called “heat” is not a fluid, but is actually a form of energy – it is the energy associated with the continual, random motion of the atoms which compose macroscopic matter, which we can’t see directly. This type of energy, which we will call thermal energy, can be converted (at least in part) to other forms which we can perceive directly (for example, kinetic, gravitational, or electrical energy), and which can be used to do useful things such as propel an automobile or a 747. The principles of thermodynamics govern the conversion of thermal energy to other, more useful forms. For example, an automobile engine can be though of as a device which first converts chemical energy stored in fuel and oxygen molecules into thermal energy by combustion, and then extracts part of that thermal energy to perform the work necessary to propel the car forward, overcoming friction. Thermodynamics is critical to all steps in this process (including determining the level of pollutants emitted), and a careful thermodynamic analysis is required for the design of fuel-efficient, low-polluting automobile engines. In general, thermodynamics plays a vital role in the design of any engine or power-generating plant, and therefore a good grounding in thermodynamics is required for much work in engineering. If thermodynamics only governed the behavior of engines, it would probably be the most economically important of all sciences, but it is much more than that. Since the chemical and physical state of matter depends strongly on how much thermal energy it contains, thermodynamic principles play a central role in any description of…

Mechanical engineers are connected with the production and processing of energy and with providing the means of production, the tools of transportation, and the techniques of automation. The skill and knowledge base are extensive. Among the disciplinary bases are mechanics of solids and fluids, mass and momentum transport, manufacturing processes, and electrical and information theory. Mechanical engineering design involves all the trainings in mechanical engineering. Real problems resist compartmentalization. A simple journal bearing involves fluid flow, heat transfer, friction, energy transport, material selection, thermo mechanical treatments, statistical descriptions, and so on.…
