Sop for Ms in It
I have always believed that studying with interest is of utmost importance because “Study without desire spoils the memory, and it retains nothing that it takes in. “ I am convinced that studies in US encourages creative and innovative thinking thus stimulating one’s intellect, talents and skills unlike in any other part of the world. With two years of experience in IT , a willingness to learn more about Information Processing and use my innovation in the world of **** I would like to pursue my Master Degree in Management Information System from a reputed institution in the US and follow this up with a PhD. This should pave the way for what I eventually aspire - a career in research and teaching in a field that I am overly passionate about.
As a child I was always fascinated by wonders a computer could do; may it be simple calculations, storing of data in a systematic way or gaming technology. With the advent and profligate use of Internet, my interest in (IT) increased which eventually led me in taking engineering in the field of IT. My sound interest and excellence in subjects like Database Management, Dataware housing, Data Mining, Information security and Management Information System has imbibed in me, an interest to pursue further education in this field. This also gave me an opportunity to show my innovation in my fourth Year project which was “Online Tracking Using Multi-Modal Feature”. The main objective of this project was to develop face recognition and verification software using image processing.
It is rightly said “All studies and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and so besides my regular academics in college, I have also been an active member of technical bodies that gave me an opportunity to organize and be a part of various seminars and tech fests. I have been a member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) as well as head of events for IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).Such involvement has had a positive impact

Facial recognition technology is a very well-known technology because of the high security it provides to crucial businesses and government agencies. According to the FBI this technology was, "Developed in the 1960s, the first semi-automated system for facial recognition required the administrator to locate features (such as eyes, ears, nose, and mouth) on photographs before it calculated distances and ratios to a common reference point" (Facial Recognition). Government agencies and crucial companies such as the FBI and Boeing are the main users of facial recognition technology. It was created in the 1960s using photographs, but with the hard work of coders, the technology has been greatly improved to locate images and scan faces. It is still…

Some facial recognition algorithms identify facial features by extracting landmarks, or features, from an image of the subject's face. For example, an algorithm may analyze the relative position, size, and/or shape of the eyes, nose, cheekbones, and jaw. These features are then used to search for other images with matching features. Other algorithms normalize a gallery of face images and then compress the face data, only saving the data in the image that is useful for face detection. A probe image is then compared with the face data. One of the earliest successful systems is based on template matching techniques applied to a set of salient facial features, providing a sort of compressed face representation.…

Having a commitment of impacting my generation has always been the guide of my career plan. This commitment among other reasons is responsible for my choice of course of study, Computer Engineering. As a youth, I realized that Science and Technology have phenomenally contributed both to the development and to the existence of humankind. Great many men, from different generations have left their names in the sand of time with their scientific discoveries, while yet many have achieved parallel feats by improving on such discoveries. Thomas Edison’s name can never be forgotten for his discoveries, one of such is the electricity.
