However, no matter how slow one’s absorption of knowledge is, they should have the same chance to be educated as the ones who has a higher ability to attain information. The world should not only provide higher education to those who are good at studying, but also should provide equal chance for those who are not as good.

Education allows people to learn more about themselves, and therefore, learn more about each other. Really, the only thing that makes sense in life is to strive for greater collective enlightenment. Plato shows how people become content with life’s delusions when they are not constantly seeking the truth and how experiencing new things will expand their mind to new thoughts and ideas that they were previously blind to. Frederick Douglass shows how humans can use the lack of education to keep others in the dark and only through education can those people break free. Thomas Newman presents the idea that once you are educated, you shouldn’t be satisfied and you should continue to seek out new forms of knowledge. These three author’s ideas collectively…

When a student goes to college, the goal is for the students to be able to generate ideas, think for themselves, and learn without guidance before graduating. No matter what field someone goes into, the people who the outcomes effect are going to want them to be educated. Pellegrino makes excellent criteria for an educated person, and what they need to do. Is the students able to learn independently, ask critical questions, comprehend what they read, act based only on their own beliefs, respond to judgments, and think independently in a political scenario. These criteria, if met, make it easy for a person to be able to not only educated themselves but others as well, and to be able to create and envision ideas that could lead to breakthroughs. In addition, students may spend time gaining experience since they are still at school. The competition in the job market is getting fiercer and fiercer. If students have only academic knowledge got from classes, they will definitely fail in the race for well-paid employments. On the contrary, with practical experience collected from part-time jobs and other work, students could get the upper hand in seeking good jobs. I still remember a girl of my brother’s university class who attended classes regularly, reading all the textbooks carefully. After graduating, she barely managed to find a modest job. Conversely, my brother, with practical skills and experience from his part-time jobs, easily gained a good position in a bank. After all, spending time wisely working during their time at university can facilitate graduates at their beginning in the career.…
