Solar Systems: Interesting Facts About Our Solar System
The planet Mercury is the closest to the sun. Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system. This planet has an iron core in the center that makes it look wrinkly. The next planet that comes after Mercury is Venus. The planet was named after the Roman goddess Venus, who was the goddess of love. Venus is also called the morning and evening star, because of how bright it shines. It is in the like manner as earth, the only difference they have is Venus contains no life on its planet.
